OTTO DIY (Bipedal Robot) Westharima Version Development

Since around 2020, FabLab Westharima has been continuously improving the open-source OTTO DIY to address difficult-to-assemble areas for use in workshops.

Objectives

To improve assembly during workshops, we developed the Westharima version with modifications to the original OTTO DIY, enabling more participants to complete assembly in a shorter time.

What is Otto DIY?

Otto DIY is an open-source robot. Assembly itself does not require special tools and can be completed in a few hours using a screwdriver. Programming is possible using block editors and other tools, making it ideal as learning material for programming beginners. It is packed with maker elements from mechanical and electronic component assembly to robot control through programming.
