1. Refunds for Reservation Services and Paid Options

Applicable Services: Paid options (one-on-one technical guidance, data creation services, etc.), seminars and workshops

1.1 Cancellation Deadline and Refund Rate

1.2 Refund Methods

  • Credit card, ID, QuickPay, QR payments: Refund to original payment method (via Square) or cash
  • Transit IC card payments: Cash refund only (Square refunds not available)
  • Processing time: 3-7 business days (for Square refunds)

Note: Refund methods vary by payment method. For transit IC card payments, Square cannot process refunds, so refunds will be made in cash only. If you prefer a cash refund, please contact us or visit in person.

1.3 Non-Refundable Cases

  • Cancellations less than 2 days before reservation
  • Time reduction due to late arrival
  • Early departure due to customer circumstances
  • Removal due to safety regulation violations: If facility use is terminated due to inappropriate dress, wearing gloves with rotating tools, or other safety guideline violations at staff discretion, no refunds will be provided

2. Refunds for Data Creation Services

2.1 Refundable Cases

Refunds will be provided only in the following cases:

  • Delivered file is corrupted
  • Delivered file does not match specifications
  • Significant delivery delay (without prior notice)

Condition: Must contact us within 7 days of delivery

2.2 Non-Refundable Cases

  • Returns due to customer circumstances
  • "Different from expected" after delivery
  • Incompatibility with customer's environment
  • Additional specification changes

3. Monthly Subscription Refunds

3.1 Mid-Month Cancellation

Pro-rated refunds are not available for mid-month cancellations.

3.2 Automatic Renewal

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew every month from the registration date. If no cancellation request is made before the next payment date, the subscription will automatically renew.

3.3 Cancellation Procedure

For Square payment subscriptions, you can cancel using the following procedure:

  1. Open the confirmation email sent when your Square payment was completed
  2. Click the "Manage Subscription" link in the email
  3. Complete the cancellation procedure from the management screen

※ The confirmation email is required for cancellation. Please keep it safe and do not delete it.

3.4 Forgotten Cancellations

Cancellation Timing

  • Up to 2 days (48 hours) before next payment date: If you complete the cancellation procedure, the next payment will not occur
  • After the 2-day deadline: Payment processing has already begun, so refunds for the current month are generally not provided
  • In case of forgotten cancellation: Refund requests based on "I forgot to cancel" are generally not accepted. We will, however, consider individual circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

※ We recommend completing the cancellation procedure at least 3 days before the next payment date to allow sufficient time.

4. DigiCode Subscription Refunds

4.1 Cancellation Procedure

DigiCode subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (or the LemonSqueezy management portal once introduced for international users). After cancellation, paid features remain available until the end of the current billing period.

4.2 Mid-Period Cancellation and Pro-Rated Refunds

Pro-rated refunds for mid-period cancellation are not provided as a general rule.

4.3 Forgotten Cancellations

Refund requests based on having forgotten to cancel are generally not accepted. We will consider individual circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out via our contact form.

4.4 Enterprise Plan Grace Period

When cancelling the Enterprise plan, a one-month grace period applies. During the grace period, the service remains available and class data can be exported in ZIP format.

4.5 Service Disruption

If DigiCode suffers a significant outage during which paid features are unavailable for an extended period, please contact us individually so we can address the situation case by case.

5. Full Contract Manufacturing Service Refunds

Target: Corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, research institutions, individuals

For full contract manufacturing services (estimate → order → production → delivery → invoicing), refund terms are determined through discussion and agreement for each project, as contract terms vary by project.

  • Delivery time varies greatly depending on the project (several days to over a year)
  • We utilize not only FabLab equipment but also our outsourcing network
  • Depending on the project, we may require partial or full prepayment
  • Refund terms for prepayments will be individually determined at the time of contract

Note: Standard refund policies do not apply. Refund terms will be specified at the time of quotation and contract.

6. System Error Refunds

Full refunds will be provided for issues caused by system errors, such as when payment is completed but the reservation is not confirmed.

  3. Review within 3 business days
  4. Refund processing within 7-10 business days after approval
