Ferrari 360 Modena Headlight Adjustment Gearbox Redesign
In July 2024, commissioned by Provile Co., Ltd., we fabricated a headlight adjustment gearbox for Ferrari 360 Modena that was prone to failure.
Project Background
The challenge was: “This part is not supplied individually, and when it breaks, the entire light assembly must be replaced (720,000 yen per side). Used parts are also unreliable for reuse, making repair difficult.”
Development Process
For this project, we restored and modeled a damaged part with approximately 30% missing. We inferred the design intent and redesigned it with improvements to the original structure.
Results
As a result, we believe it has become more heat-resistant, chemical-resistant, and stronger than the original headlight adjustment gearbox. There are still areas for improvement, so if the current one breaks, we plan to design from scratch next time, disregarding the original gearbox structure.
